HERALDS CAMPAIGN
Villains
A longstanding myth of the Bedlo region is a man said to bend Scions to his will. Almost nothing is known of this man, but with the influx of Rampant Augurs in the region many of those captured talk of a tall being living in a twisted cave, offering them communion in exchange for greater power.
Many of these Rampants, seem, altered in some way, after an experience with him, or due to some other alien method of enhancing an Augur's abilities...
The Ruhk's former right hand servant, Cyclonicah was the presumed leader of the Black Circle. Marked as a failure even before she was born Scion-blooded, Cyclonicah had a deep-seated hatred of her family and the Barony by extension for years of abhorrent mental anguish at their hands.
Like others in the Black Circle, she had experience with espionage, battle tactics, diplomacy and a range of weaponry, but preferred to use a barbed whip.
Unlike others in the Circle, she delighted in causing pain to others through brutal instruction. She was a cruel, mocking, taunting individual, believing any advantage one has in life must be used to take another's. She was encountered guarding the excavated passage to the No-Box in Rhyne, and was slain by the combined might of Second Sunrise.
Pathsetter for the See'le people, Fafnir was one of many Pathsetters that struggled with the aimless direction and slow dissolution of the Pennant Archae. He sought to inspire his quiet and aloof people with rage and the indignity of their continued ignorance or rebuff by TAERA, who they had helped defend in the Violate War.
When his brother, Pathsetter Feros Volk'na, began a Recall, Fafnir leapt at the opportunity to gather the sympathies and rage of the other tribes. Fafnir grew his faction in the memorial grounds, and was able to drown out objections in the Recall to force Feros in declaring war against TAERA, starting the Siege of Palisades.
After Feros' death, his son Fenror challenged Fafnir on their direction and his ascension to leadership. They dueled, Fenror the clear victor, but Fafnir unwilling to admit defeat or relinquish power to a 'clueless boy', creating a schism in the Arath Diaspora.
This schism would turn violent, when Fenror's Orthodox Pennant Archae begrudgingly allied with Palisades, and turned on Fafnir's Pennant Archae Separatists mid-battle.
Fafnir fought Fenror again, this time ontop of a Siege Scapebeast, where Fenror sliced two fingers off of his fighting hand. Fafnir was able to escape the battle alongside the survivors of the Pennant Archae Separatists.
Riaydrihn is one of the many cruel and combative adopted children of the Violate King. Second Sunrise first learnt of him from multiple sources in Barrowstead, acknowledging the presence of 'Bastards' had stalled the nearby Road Project.
Second Sunrise was later charged with bringing Riyadrihn and his brother, Korath, to justice, to free the people of the Complex and allow the Road Project to complete.
Riaydrihn however had been given intel of the mercenary group's arrival, and with resources gifted by Second Revelation was able to lock down the tower, and began a manhunt for the 'Merse' traveling with the group.
Riyadrihn's operation was later overtaken by the Ruhk, and once Elimarah was recovered by the Ruhk's team, Riaydrihn was completely abandoned to the mercy of Second Sunrise and the Preacher's Faithful.
Riaydrihn met his demise failing to escape Second Sunrise, and had his head crushed by a transformed Mhoram when the bomb he attempted to bargain with was deactivated.
After Broken Mantra's failed terror attack in Torrens, and the death of Prophet Esher, the remaining members bickered and then scattered over their utter collapse. Each cell's leader attempting to proclaim themselves the 'new' prophet of Broken Mantra.
Vaserel, himself a senior priest in the cult, instead followed rumors of a White Woman, traveling from village to village, who could see the future, and even grant wishes...
Vaserel became 'Hierophant' to his new prophet, and presumably helped with the occupation of the Fallen Litany and set up of the Recallset.
Vaserel was encountered by Second Sunrise here, blocking their access to the Recallset and their rescue of Elimarah from her integration within it.
Vaserel, like Esher before him, met his demise at the hands of Orin, who violently tore Vaserel apart.
