Agartha - Nation, then Empire of Arath during the Second Cycle. Infamous for the Atheist Wars and the Declension.

The Amalgamate - Abomination created by the First Herald Meauraeve. Imprisoned by the First Heralds millenia ago.

The Amansir - Paramilitary force dedicated to the protection of frontier settlements.

Ancient Agathern - Second Cycle Language used across Enaeth and Arath by the Agarthern Empire.

Antiquitist - Individuals who discover, study or requisition artefacts of the past.

Apotheosis - Moments consciousness drifts into the Rubicon Overlay, usually occuring during intense emotional or physical states.

Arath - Eastern Continent of the Noth landmass.

Arath Diaspora - See Pennant Archae.

Astele Isles - Northern Continent of the Noth landmass.

Augur/y - Individuals who have manifested part of the Trinium's own power through the Rubicon Overlay.

B

Bedlo Strand - The-western most and smallest region of Enaeth, famed for its historic ports and fish trade with Astele.

C

Canon - The name given to technical documents and other articles of written material, collected and traded in Arath.

Canonical - Resurrected dead language re-purposed for writing in Enaeth.d

The Celestials - Name given to the Vennish invaders of Astele. Worshipped as gods by the native populations.

Central Planae - The central region of Enaeth. Home to the citystate of Torrens.

Circirern Region - A central region of Enaeth, known for its dense forests.

Compact Trajectile - Extinct projectile weapons, developed by armsmiths during the Second Cycle. Also known as 'Pacts'.

Covenant - Sacred vow made in an aspects name. Have meta-physical restrictions, and if broken can lead to dire circumstances.

Cycle; Gift Cycle - Span of time defined by world changing events known as 'Gifts', that lead to grand advancement or stagnation.

D

Daeogram - The sacred glyph sets of the Trinium. Used to bless devices, favours and other relics of the gods.

The Declension - Both the unintended destructive apotheosis of Arath at the end of the Atheist War, and the name given to the epicentre.

E

Enaeth - Eastern Continent of the Noth landmass.

Empyrean - Dead First Cycle language.

Empyeria Tree - Bulbous tree baring blue pointed flowers with yellow tips. Used in the creation of Laudanum. Uncommon in Enaeth.

Era Errata - The end days of Noth, where the boundary between the Rubicon Overlay and reality weaken, ending existence on Noth.

F

The Fall - The crash of the tenth Litany into Enaeth, ending the First Cycle.

Fallen Litany - Collapsed ruin of the tenth stone of the Litany, now a temple guarded by Merse caretakers.

Favor - Religious trinkets, commonly used for bartering and trade, but are sometimes blessed with significant boons.

The First Heralds - The first 9 beings blessed by the Trinium before the First Gift Cycle.

The Fissure - Do not enter the Fissure.

The Fog - Scion released after The Fall, that appears as a dark orange cloud. Responsible for the advent of the Scion-blooded and Rampancy.

Garter - Noth's single moon.

Gen/nish - Elemental beings hailing from Arath.

The Glittering Darkness - The Universe.

Glyphics - Symbology allowed to be used for basic communication in Enaeth.

The Godtide - Destructive wave that transformed most of Enaeth in the First Cycle. Stopped by Herald Gilgahn.

H

Harbinger - Servants of TAERA Executor Regina Garaseehn, acting on her behalf in matters of security, society and subtrefuge.

Herald - Individuals who undergo Apotheosis and are reborn with enhanced powers gifted by aspects of the Trinium as their servants on Noth.

Laudanum - Opiate consumed by those experiencing Rampancy, comprised of processed Empyeria Tree flowers.

The Litany - Nine enormous stones hanging in the sky above Enaeth. The Trinium's weapon used against the Outsider Gods. Bestowed Augury.

Longitude - Impossibly sharp weapon created by Heas, now in the possession of the Red Asva.

Merse - Community based worker allied with the Merse Collective.

Misiv - The messengers and delivery people of Enaeth.

Modular - Individuals who can shape materials with their augury. See also; Shaper.

Nexus - Extinct teleporters created in the First Cycle.

Noth - The name of both the planet and the largest landmass on said planet.

O

Orator - Storytellers and reporters of Enaeth.

Outsider God - Alien beings that subjugated the primitive people of Noth. Destroyed by the First Heralds and the Trinium.

P

Pennant Archae - Tribal Continent of the Noth landmass.

Phenomena - The term used to describe Noth's natural and unnatural fauna, including Scions, Tya'lths, and even the Trinium.

Quiqimic Device - See Terminius Passage.

R

Rampancy - Degenerative disease affecting Augurs, leading to ferality or death.

Recallset - Thinking machine, capable of using meta-physical pathways to condense data. They were outlawed in the early Second Cycle.

S

Scapebeast - Primeval scaled creatures that live in the Scapelands to the east of the Circriern Region, trained by the Pennant Archae.

Scion - The divine and horrifying children of the Trinium, spread across Noth during the Declension.

Scion-blooded - Those born with rare defects, often horned and white-skinned, considered bad omens. Includes shapeshifters.

Script Obsoli - Second Cycle policy dictating the destruction of books, scientific devices and machinery in Enaeth.

Shaper - Member of the Pennant Archae who uses their augury to destroy heretical relics, mostly Voltaionics.

Southern Eridinea - Southmost region of Enaeth.

Starborn - Scaled humanoids who can transform into other animals. Congregate primarily in the Ishtar Enclave on Mt. Trinitus.

Surveyor - Member of the Surveyor's Guild, employed in the construction and the protection of Enaeth's roads

T

TAERA - The economic alliance of Enaeth, introduced during the Violate War.

Tariat - Individual who uses their subconscious mind for the storage of data.

Terminus Passage - Formerly Quiqimic Device. Extinct First Cycle Theseht allowing physical access into the Rubicon Overlay by unknown means.

Theseht/s - Faith-based devices created in the First Cycle performing wonderous feats, including nexuses and terraformers.

Tor'yne Road - The Road Project constructed from Torrens towards Rhyne.

Traumaturge - Physicians who use Augury to perform surgery, numb and close wounds, and clean infections.

The Trinium - The umbrella term for the powerful, intangible beings enshrouding Noth, worshiped as deities by the people there.

Tya'lith - Second Cycle artificial servant, printed enmasse from Bioforges. Now corrupted monstrocities wandering Enaeth and Arath.

U

Unit - Currency blocks grown by Modulars for large TAERA'n transfers. See also; Wage Chit.

V

Ven/nish - Foreign empire from another continent, composed of parallelly evolved creatures descended from plant-life.

Vol'ren Road - The Road Project constructed from Voltaine towards Torrens.

Voltaic Machine - See Voltaionic.

Voltaionic - Technologies mandated by the physics of reality, including Compact Trajectiles, Recallsets, and other powered machinery.

W

Wage Chit - Standardized currency being deployed by TAERA. Grown in vats by Modulars.

White Filament - An alloy comprised of minerals from the heavens. Used by Modulars and Shapers in the creation of weapons and relics.
