Conditions

To enhance the effects conditions can have in this campaign, a number of conditions have been removed or modified.

Here is an updated list of conditions to expect in this campaign:

Blinded

Charmed

Dazed (Replacing Stunned)

Deafened

Exhaustion (Modified Condition)

Fallen (Situationally replacing Unconscious)

Frightened

Goaded (New Condition)

Grappled

Invisible

Poisoned

Prone

Restrained

Dazed

Replacing the Stunned condition is Dazed

A dazed creature can only do one of the following things on their turn: move, use an action, or use a bonus action. They lose concentration if they are concentrating on a spell or ability. If a creature becomes dazed during their turn, their turn ends. The cure wounds, lesser restoration and greater restoration spells can remove the dazed condition.

When a dazed creature is affected by a spell or effect that gives them an extra action on their turn (like the haste spell or the fighter’s action surge feature), they can still take this extra action, in addition to the movement, action, or bonus action allowed by the dazed condition.

Exhaustion

Exhaustion has been changed in the 2024 Edition of DnD, and as a result, the rules for exhaustion are now as follows;

At each level of exhaustion you add an additional -1 to each attack roll, ability check, or saving throw you make. Once you reach 6 levels of exhaustion, your character dies. If you are at 2 or less levels of exhaustion at the end of a long rest, you lose the exhaustion condition. Otherwise lose one level of exhaustion.

Fallen

Situationally replacing the Unconscious condition is the Fallen condition.

When a creature's hitpoints fall to or below 0, they fall prone and this condition is applied. At the start of their turn, roll a death saving throw.

A fallen creature can only do one of the following things on their turn: move, use an action, bonus action, or hold a reaction. They then gain levels of exhaustion and their turn ends:

Actions gain 3 levels of exhaustion

Bonus Actions gain 1 levels of exhaustion

Movement gain 1 levels of exhaustion

Reactions gain 1 levels of exhaustion

You cannot use any of your actions to stand up from prone.

Goaded

Goaded is a new condition that represents a creature provoking another creature to enragement. While the provoker is within line of sight or can be heard, a goaded creature has disadvantage on ability checks and attack rolls. When a goaded creature makes an attack or casts a harmful spell, it must target the provoker if possible. A goaded creature cannot willingly move further away from the provoker. If the goaded creature successfully passes a saving throw at the start of its turn, or hits the provoker with an attack, the effect ends.

The condition ends outside of other game effects once the provoker is outside line of sight, dead, fallen, or silenced, or the goaded creature becomes deafened, dazed or fallen.
