HERALDS CAMPAIGN
Elimarah Nylone
Elimarah Nylone, known as Mistress Nylone, Baroness Nylone the XVIII, The Matron, Elie (to her friends) or Cassandra (for fun), was a Herald of SLMV, and former Matron of the Merse Collective.
Proclaimed as being unearthly beautiful, descriptions of the Herald varied greatly. Common claim is Elimarah was a brown-haired, brown-eyed human women, while others noted her pronounced elvish features, emerald eyes and jet black hair. These inconsistent reports are simply chalked up to the legendary status of Heralds, and Elimarah's inconsistent appearances in public spaces.
As Matron of the Merse, Elimarah typically wore her humble white Merse robe. Elimarah had a love of vibrant dressesad during her travels with Second Sunrise wore an emerald green traveling dress gifted to her by the owner of Heraldry.
Not much was known of Elimarah's upbringing in Kerebrihn, even by Elimarah herself. Fleeing with her family during the Violate King's 'Three Hour War' on Kerebrihn, they were forced to flee south, into a barren land known as 'The Crossroads'. Many refugees were slaughtered by the Scions dwelling within, unable to see when a dense fog descended. Elimarah was separated from her parents when an 'Essence Cutter' sliced through her fathers hand, leaving Elimarah alone to press onwards to Voltaine and safety.
There she lived in Merse run orphanage within a hastily erected refugee camp. Elimarah swiftly became a bully, teasing and beating other children. Lonely, Elimarah sought out others who needed protection from other bullies, and with her stick 'friend-maker' she rescued these odd children and formed a gang, with her new friend 'Grippsly' its leader.
Elimarah was reckless and childish, a trait she never fully grew out of, and was often the instigator of the gang's activities; stealing, trespassing or damaging property.
It was during once such occasion that her friend, Rohn, was beaten almost unto death during a theft gone wrong, and only with the manifestation of Elimarah's Augury was his life saved. She was offered a role as a Traumaturgist's assistant through the Merse, and spent her young adulthood using her abilities to take away pain from her patients, be they delivering a baby or removing a limb.
As the gang dissolved, Elimarah considering her dim future, taking away the pain of others for the rest of her life. When she was given a choice by Grippsly, to sail away from Voltaine forever on a boat he made, she found the offer incredibly tempting. It was not to be, for on the following morning, Elimarah found another one her friends, Sodeyn, attempting to escape her own fate, by diving off of Voltaine's seawall to her death.
Deathly afraid of the spray from the wall, Elimarah crept along to reach her friend, and in her attempts to stop Sodeyn from jumping, slipped and dragged both girls off to smash onto the rocks below.

Death was not their fate; as they approached the Rubicon, through a confusing blur of thoughts and memories, the girls ascended, and were guided cryptically to prepare and counter an existential threat to all of life, that would reveal itself in their lifetimes.
Climbing from the rocks to the beach, Elimarah sadly watched Grippsly, and her last chance at freedom sail away into the morning light. Now cursed with foresight of future events, Elimarah infiltrated the Barony, exposing corruption in prominent members, while searching for any evidence of this 'threat'. Together with Sodeyn, they lead the Merse Collective as Matron, using the resources and networks of the organization to discover any individuals or signs the danger to all life was approaching...
Posing as Cassandra, a Mistress of the Merse, Elimarah collected a number of notable individuals in Torrens, who she believed could help in her pilgrimage to the Fallen Litany on suspicion the Merse caretakers had been killed by an organization with unknown motive. Her disguise was exposed when she survived a direct blow from the Grey Teyryn, exposing her Heraldic ability to reflect wounds onto others. Despite their mistrust, she manipulated the group into forming an escort for her.
Throughout their journeys, her mercenary company would find Elimarah grating, aloof and highly suspicious. They found considerable difficulty in trusting her intent, especially Aingrim, who felt betrayed when his only friend of the last 3 years was revealed to have been nothing more than an alias. Only Grippsly felt joy at seeing his old friend after seven years, a feeling Elimarah shared.
Over time, this mistrust of the group softened. Despite being a non-combatant, Elimarah would prove her worth multiple times, most notably, inspiring an uprising that overthrew a Violate Bastard run occupation of the Complex of Hederas. It was here however that Elimarah was kidnapped by this mysterious organization, dropping the locket given to her by Grippsly years ago.
Elimarah was then transported to the Fallen Litany, and presumably tortured by the White Dama over three days to use the Recallset to discover information on how to destroy or bypass the Trinium. She was then left in the Recallset, as Broken Mantra sought a way to destroy her once there was no use for her.
Mounting a rescue, Elimarah's mercenaries were able to extract Elimarah from the Recallset, deep within the Fallen Litany. She blessed each of them, and led them to the Grand Atrium, where she said she could turn on the 'defences' of the ancient ruin. She explained what she learnt of this organisation during her imprisonment, now known as Second Revelation.
Encountering Broken Mantra reinforcements, Elimarah renounced her vow of mercy, killing many through self-harm, and even mortally wounding the Faras, a member of Second Revelation. Floating to the centre of the atrium, Elimarah pulled at fold of reality, returning to life the broken machinery of the Litany from within. Whatever task she intended to achieve seemingly failed, as her Heraldry dissipated. Seeing the approach of Second Revelation's leader, the White Dama, Elimarah chose to save Gripply and pushed him away to safety. Her attempt was futile, as the Dama easily intercepted her, killing her with a glance, before killing Grippsly.
While Elimarah was unsuccessful, her actions saved her mercenaries from certain death, as the Fallen Litany folded around them, pulling them briefly into the Rubicon to safety. It was here, in the Rubicon, that Grippsly encountered Elimarah, or a being posing as Elimarah, sitting in the prow of his lost ship. They made peace with their past, as Elimarah passed her curse of foresight onto him, mandating him to carry on her task before she kissed him and dived into the Rubicon below, becoming one with nothing.
Her body was later recovered after Grippsly's resurrection, and successfully transported to Palisades.
