Under order of the Ordinant Maginate, the Preachers were philosophers of justice and law for the highly law-oriented city of Maysuria. They would travel across the Eridinea dispensing advice and making judgements on decisions that required an ambivalent, but ethically principled, third-party.

After the sacking of Maysuria by King Hierern II, the Preachers reformed under the leadership of then Preacher Eeder Othon, as the militia leaders of the displaced Maysurians.

After Eeder ascended and executed Hierern II, he became the Ordinant Maginate of Maysuria and repurposed the Preachers in rebuilding their city. This dream of a new Maysuria ended when the Violate King marched on the city, and annihilated it with a terraformer, crushing the city and population into a monolithic cube.

Scattered, consumed by the horrors of Maysuria's destruction, the Preachers briefly reformed to join TAERA and fight against the Violate King. After the war they became truly nomadic, and the dream of a new Maysuria died with their wanderings; Their only connection now their dedication to helping and protecting the lost, helpless and wounded wandering the twisted landscape of the frontier.

Despite no one seeing a Preacher for many years, many a traveler has stumbled upon their Maysurian Glyphs in the wilderness, and close inspection reveals a cache, a hideaway or a warning of danger, an act of kindness in the new lawlessness of frontier Enaeth.

Many years later, Herald Eeder was rediscovered as "The Preacher" a folk-figure who had sheltered in the Circiern Region within a Complex. Wasted by depression, alcohol and time, Eeder was convinced to rise up, overthrow the occupiers of the Complex, and begin anew. Followed by his "Faithful" now the new Preachers of Maysuria, Eeder has traveled to Bedlo Strand, to recruit and protect the local populaces from Rampants, Scions and other threats dominating the region.
