Ahshala the Custode
Ahshala is a Custodian of the Oracles at Pyryn, sent on a mission by Herald Presceae Ithora to protect her 'Elder Brother' Gary Ripsley, joining Second Sunrise as a consultant in her protection duties.
Ahshala is a tall, powerful looking woman with dark short cropped hair and vibrant blue eyes. Despite her powerful stature, she has almost child like features, and a naive and trusting attitude. While she has great knowledge gleaned from her education, she has little understanding of how that applies to the wider world outside her hermit lifestyle.
Unlike her allies, who have experience in flowing through forms in combat with finesse, under the Preda Saga Ahshala prefers to attack with overwhelming brute force, in both augury and attacks with her enormous longsword. Like other encounters with custodians, there is little care for injury or death among bystanders, so important their missions from the Oracle are to follow.
A baby was abandoned at a reliquary near the Coven of the Oracles by unknown parentage. While the 'gift' of children is not peculiar to the Oracles, none so with such vivid blue eyes.
Named Ahshala by the former Oracle, Ahshala was initially trained as a Sybyl, to peruse the future in sand, combing through the grains as one would minute tales of things to come. While she had some small ability there, as she grew to be taller and stronger than a man, it swiftly became decided she would instead become a Custodian. Trained in the widely forbidden Preda Saga, Ahshala became an expert in Augural close-quarters combat.
Mastering the art at a young age, and with none of the key indicators of early Rampancy, Ahshala became a custodian at 16. While she never saw active combat, many times she was forced to 'pacify' a feral sister lurking deep within the caves.
On her assumed 23th name day, The Herald summoned Ahshala with an important mission; her Custodian duties were to be extended to a halfling in Rhyne, and she would leave immediately to find the Oracles "Older Brother" and bring him back here. The Oracle gave her two fortellings; that they would see each other only once more, and that Ahshala would meet her family once again. Left with this somewhat omnious portend, Ahshala left the confines of the cave to the outside world, following the signs she was taught to see so long ago, to her new destination... and fate.
