HERALDS CAMPAIGN
The Violate King
The Violate King is a Herald of BLEM who started a conquest of Enaeth and Southern Arath, in an event later referred to as the Violate War; the most devastating conflict of the Third Gift Cycle. His current whereabouts or his actual identity are unknown.
Almost nothing is known of the Violate King's appearance, as he was never seen without his jet black steel armor. Towering as high as a Goliath, with a voice like 'mountains crumbling', he wielded both an ancient Terraformer and the sword Longitude, both stolen from his conquest of Kerebrihn.
On a quiet evening in early 2372 3G.c, the King and his army appeared from nowhere outside the walls of Kerebrihn in South Arath. Called the 'three hour war', the siege of Kerebrihn barely lasted til twilight, and by dawn the city was conquered. The King presumably slaughtered the royal family of Kerebrihn, only keeping Herald-Princess Sunnivah alive in forced marriage. From Kerebrihn, he stole the royal blade Longitude, a gift from the Wrights of Heas, and Kerebrihn's greatest secret; a Terraformer from the First Cycle, which he then used to turn verdant Kerebrihn into a wasteland.
The King would then leave Kerebrihn 6 months later to raid the Southern Eridinea. Treated as nothing more than a bandit lord, the King would go on to win 12 successive battles, using superior tactics, his well trained fanatical army, and the power of this terraformer to break his enemies apart. This culminated in annihilation of Maysuria, and the surrender and tribute from the Barony of Voltaine.
The King began to pick from his slaves orphaned children, and ruthlessly pressed them into a life of violence as his own children and later bodyguards, later to be known as his Violate Bastards.
The King would then move into the Central Planae, where he was brought to a standstill by the Torrens Intra-Terrestrial Corp. An alliance was formed against him called TAERA, culminating in his first defeat at the 'Siege of Torrens'. During this siege, 11 Heralds lost their lives fighting against the King and his armies, but were successful in repelling him and destroying the Terraformer he used.
Forced to flee north, the King was finally defeated outside the newly erected stronghold of Palisades. His army was scattered and destroyed, but the King and his bastards were never found. Interviews with his men led only down paths of madness; they had arrived from another world in some distant time, to destroy the past and prevent all futures from occurring. So little is known of the King's actual motives that it is assume he and his loyalists were completely and utterly mad.
Some twenty years, rumors grew of the King's bastards appearing all over Enaeth, each claiming the right to lead the others in their father's stead. What little information gathered from these bastards gives no indication to the status of their father, but many assume he died, either from his injuries or was killed by his children. Quietly, many wait and dread the day he returns to finish his war on existence.

The Violate Bastards
BLEM
Aingrim had a memory of his encounter with the Violate King, standing on top of a pile of dead Heralds during the defence of Torrens. It is unknown what transpired after Aingrim began a duel with the King.
