Reymah ne' Benethiehn III
Reymah ne' Benethiehn III was the Baroness of the Benethiehn and later Prime Minister for the Kresh-Zheng Dynasty of Astele.
Reymah was an exceedingly tall and willowy woman, with pale skin, scaled in some places, and ink black hair. The irises of her eyes are frosty white, and the pupils ovoid and pointed.
While her manner of dress changed dramatically on her arrival in Astele, she was never seen without her green crystal necklace from home, and her white filament circlet, gifted by an armorer in Yin.
Reymah was born seconds before her twin sister, Seleniah, to Emerito and Letah ne' Benethiehn. Like many children born during the reign of King Voltaine II, there were complications and her mother died weeks later.
When a wandering mystic called 'The Drifter' proclaimed Emerito's daughters would achieve great things echoing throughout history, Emerito spared no expense in giving his daughters the best education one could afford in Voltaine. He began to acquire tomes and hired tutors, to teach the girls how to read and write.
They eagerly devoured every scrap of knowledge given to them, learning everything from history, science, Merse medical practice, and when the Violate King invaded Enaeth, advanced military strategy and logistical planning. Their hunger for knowledge eventually drove Benethiehn to illegally acquire heretical texts not approved by Voltaine, and later TAERA.
They even received private tutoring from Scilo Duhn pre-ascension. and this enigmatic but wise Drifter, reappearing periodically to teach them of history long forgotten.
The sister grew up isolated and peculiar, even by Barony standards. With no interest in the dance of the 'Infinite Gala' they dreamt instead of renewing the world, as the First Heralds did after defeating the Outsider Gods.
Their strange, yet peaceful upbringing was destroyed when Emerito was tried and executed for the heresy his daughters enabled. Devastated, Reymah became Baroness Benethiehn, and struggled to tend to her now ailing sister and dissolving estate and the constant whispers of heresy surrounding her.
Despite Reymah’s prayers and medical knowledge, Seleniah’s rampancy rapidly grew worse and she died in her sisters arms in 2382. Lost in grief, Reymah was visited by the Drifter a final time, and inspired her to follow her sisters dream of discovering utopia. Guiding her to expand her horizons of the world, he assisted Reymah in researching what little existed of Astele, once referred to as such a paradise.
Deciding there was nothing left for her in Voltaine, she liquidated the Benethiehn estate, and chartered a ship for Astele seeking utopia.

Departing on the Rosary Winds, a smuggling vessel, Reymah arrived in Astele in 2382, and was swiftly embroiled in the political upheaval during the eruption of Mt. Shi'varo and the Emperor's death.
Her one time guides to the ancient ruins on Astele became warriors and generals in this conflict, and she herself rose to become a military advisor for Regent Rroa Kresh's top Daishe, and later military prime minister for Rroa's adopted son Jin Zheng-Kresh.
Reymah treated her companions as her brothers, and even for a time, courted Xixi Boba as a lover. The return of Augury on Shi'varo's eruption however slowly turned an exhausted Reymah Rampant.
Turning away from her military and weapons development, she began to secretly experiment on her servants, biologists turned cultists, worshiping her as a one of their sacred 'Celestials'. Her experiments were conducted to press against reality and test human potential.
Her experiments, heretical even in Astele, were discovered by Emperor Jin and his companions. She was exiled by ship, with the intent to kill her once out to sea. This ship Sundown however was destroyed by a Scion called The White Leviathan, and no body was ever recovered.
