Kovan Pachydermn
Kovan Pachydermn was a member of the Misiv Service who served and fought alongside Second Sunrise in a number of their adventures.
One of the largest bipedal creatures on Noth, Kovan presents as an imposing massively tall figure, which is immediately betrayed by his jovial, kindly, and almost naive nature. Kovan wears a long cloak, covering his Misiv uniform, baring additional harness points for larger deliveries. At his side are his three enormous Gamatern bronze blades, built more for crushing force than slicing foes.
Because of his kindly non-judgemental nature, and encounters with all sorts of individuals, Kovan has no issues working with those that walk on the darker side of life.
Kovan was born in a Loxodon commune that regularly migrates between the cities of Rhyne and Gamat, in Northern Arath.
Like many of his kind, he developed a wandering soul at a young age, and sought to explore all of Noth; perhaps being the first in a cycle to do so.
This adventurous ideal was put to rest when a curious Kovan joined the newly formed Misiv Service to finance his journey. Even so young, Kovan quickly became sought for his strength and affable charm, and he became highly requested for long-range heavy freight services.
Those that try to take advantage of him in use of his services learn to do swiftly otherwise; despite his carefree exterior, Kovan is under no illusions on when to cheerfully threaten or use violence; proving to the unwary why you should never cross a loxodon.
Kovan was encountered by Second Sunrise through the neck, and offered to accompany them along the trip. Some members of the group found his presence reassuring, while others found his upbeat attitude and social naivete grating.
He was with Second Sunrise when they encountered the Pennant Archae caravan, and later when they joined the Surveyor team infiltrating the Complex. He was then requested by Yeor alongside Misiv Rhoawn to deliver a high priority message to Regina, about the death of Herald Rohktar and the kidnapping of Elimarah.
Kovan and Rhoawn were set upon by Violate Bastard Korath's Outriders, but were saved by a Merse cell led by Paedra ne' Eidern.
Kovan volunteered to deliver a message to save Palisades alongside Ffamran, Rhoawn and 30 other Misivs, Kovan was mortally wounded in this journey, but in a sacrificial act, given the survival kit meant for Ffamran to patch his wounds. His current fate is unknown.
