Hurin
Hurin was a member of the Barrowstead militia, who was bestowed sponsorship by Orin Somnihlius to join the Amansir.
Hurin is a wiry young man with a naive and boyish presentation. Despite
his evident fear of battle and conflict, he thinks first in the defense of other's lives before his own, and is a firm believer in duty and honor, and a little bit of luck.
Hurin was born and raised entirely in Barrowstead. Growing up in a collective, as many families do in Barrowstead, Hurin has 8 parents, but particularly dotes on his biological mother, Anith.
Hurin joined the Barrowstead militia, a safe, well-paying assignment to keep his worried mother content, until a Rampant assaulted his town. Initially fearful, Hurin demonstrated enough courage to be bestowed an Amansirn Iron Coin by Orin Somnihlus. Hurin was excited to leave the village and start on his new path, despite his lack of martial ability.
Hurin knows his luck, and quiet devotion to MIMN, will keep him safe throughout his travels. Perhaps it yet will...
Hurin encountered Second Sunrise during the Burning Man's assault on Barrowstead. He helped lead the reinforcements to where Elimarah, Grippsly and Orin were holding off the rampant. Through sheer luck, Hurin survived with minor burns, and in recognition of his valour and sheer luck, Orin bestowed upon him an iron coin, with the promise to not mention who his sponsor was to the Amansir.
Hurin then traveled to Palisades, somehow surviving the trip, where he became an initiate of Brother Captain Alisto. Hurin was reunited with Orin and proudly told him he had kept his secret.
Hurin later found out from the Amansir who exactly his sponsor was, but this did not dissuade Hurin from helping Orin rally the townsfolk, and help defend Palisades from the Pennant Archae assault.
Orin later saved his life from a siege scapebeast, as Hurin bravely mounted the wall in the final onslaught to cover the militias retreat.
