Mhoram of the Ishtar
Mhoram was a member of Elimarah's mercenary escort, led to join by his mysterious predictive philosophy called 'The Pattern'. Mhoram died outside Palisades saving the lives of his companions and later inspiring the name of their association; 'Second Sunrise'.
Mhoram was a gold coloured Starborn, featuring lizard like features. Unique to the Ishtar was the hereditary augural ability to transform into other animals, his preferred form being a bear. He was dressed in well maintained, but simple traveling robes, and only carried a staff as a weapon.
Mhoram was aloof and mysterious, joining the party for unknown reasons. He was not unkindly, and in the end, believed so greatly in his companions futures that he was willing to end his own.
As a member of the Ishtar Enclave, Mhoram grew up in a monolithic society dedicated to the stars. Each star was an ancestor for the Ishtar, and when they died, they believed they would return to the stars from where they came.
Over time, Mhoram idly began to wonder; what caused the stars to move? Every few generations, great swathes of stars would move, and some would disappear. Listening to these stories, Mhoram began to draw on the floor of his cave a 'pattern' of where the stars moved, and where they might move next.
Over time, this casual astronomy turned into obsession, and Mhoram began to believe the stars movements predicted localized events. Unbeknownst to Mhoram, he was experiencing early-onset Rampancy, as his studies grew madder and madder. When his pattern was discovered by other Starborn, Mhoram elected to abandon the Ishtar and see where his pattern led him.
He followed the pattern to Torrens, braving the wilderness to find 'her'; the one that would show him how to rejoin the stars...
