HERALDS CAMPAIGN
Lumen Bors
Lumen Bors was a Herald of BLEM, and brother to Aingrim Bors. He died during the 'Defence of Torrens', along with ten other Heralds near the conclusion of the Violate War.
Proclaimed as being unearthly beautiful, descriptions of the Herald varied greatly. Common claim is Elimarah was a brown-haired, brown-eyed human women, while others noted her pronounced elvish features, emerald eyes and jet black hair. These inconsistent reports are simply chalked up to the legendary status of Heralds, and Elimarah's inconsistent appearances in public spaces.
As Matron of the Merse, Elimarah typically wore her humble white Merse robe. Elimarah had a love of vibrant dresses and during her travels with Second Sunrise wore an emerald green traveling dress gifted to her by the owner of Heraldry.
Born to a wealthy lineage from a Craftlord ancestor, Rogurn Bors sought guidance for his sons, Aingrim and Lumen, from the Oracle of Pyryn. Instead of guidance, she foresaw a vision for the future "Rogurn Bors' sons would grow to become great warriors; one would open the gates of Grief and Burden, and the other would close the gate of Chaos and Annihilation'.
Inspired by the strange woman and her fortelling of his son's greatness, Rogurn returned to Rhyne and begun to pay for the greatest martial education the boys could receive. They were trained in every weapon, every tactic, trick and battle strategy known to the generals of Rhyne. Rogurn was even able to sequester the tutelage of Herald Morgoht, the oldest warrior alive, to train the boys. Aingrim craved physical prowess and dominance in his training, while his brother excelled in agile swordsmanship.
Their father's expectations turned the boys from brothers to rivals, as their training was marked by this unspoken call to greatness. Expected to be more than just ordinary men, Aingrim and Lumen completed their training, and sought divine sponsorship from the god of Battle, BLEM.
Bandits, Rampants, entire mercenary battalions and even Scions fell to their combined might, deepening their devotion to god of grief and war. When no greater challenge presented itself to them, the brothers turned to fight each other over ascension. On the spire of Mt. Trinitus, the brothers dueled for days until an exhausted Lumen ascended, and smashed Aingrim to the ground. No longer viewing Aingrim as a threat to his divinity, Lumen spared his life and left his brother forever in his shadow.
The once inseparable brothers returned to Rhyne, an incredible distance now between them; Lumen earnt the praise of his father and his new heraldic brothers and sisters, while Aingrim turned to brew to mask his hazy grief and rage. Lumen found he could best anyone in combat; he never again lost a duel or fight against another.
When the Violate King came to Enaeth, Lumen lead the Legion of Rhyne South to join with their new allies. He joined the newly formed Nemesis; a Heraldic taskforce dedicated to killing or capturing the King. Running low on time and resources, Lumen and Herald Jareth led Nemesis to seek the King in the 'Defense of Torrens' It is unknown what transpired during this week long campaign, only that the King was defeated, but every member of Nemesis, including Lumen, was either killed or never seen again.
